Zum’s cuisine tells stories of cycle tours in Mexico and Eastern Europe and brings greetings from the Mediterranean and the Alps. The cornerstones of the kitchen are fresh ingredients, vegetables and pure flavours.

The heart of the restaurant is an open kitchen with a Bertha charcoal oven. Zum’s various organic sourdough breads and Finland’s first sourdough pasta as well as ice creams are already renowned. All food is lactose-free and various dietary preferences are well catered for. Also gluten-free bread is baked in-house.

We pay special attention to the origin of food, coffee and tea. Nearly 70% of our ingredients are organic and we were the winners of the Finnish Organic Food Championship in 2020 and 2022. A high-quality selection of beer and organic wine tops it all off.

In January 2026, Zum Beispiel got new owners who have been part of Zum’s journey for a long time. In the hands of Malin Furu, Mirka Wilska and Maria Simander, the love for good food and togetherness remains – Zum Beispiel’s product and spirit have been honed and grown through seamless teamwork: a dose of Malin’s creativity and skill, a heap of Mirka’s energy and wisdom and a touch of Maria’s organization and speed.

– We have been part of Zum Beispiel’s story for years, and now we get to continue it as restaurant entrepreneurs. We will respect Zum Beispiel’s spirit and traditions also in the future – we will continue Zum’s story with our own touch.

The cornerstones of the kitchen are fresh ingredients, fine vegetables and pure flavors. Organic sourdough bread is created in Zum’s kitchen at dawn, and homemade ice cream, sourdough pasta and other wonderful products are also made from carefully selected ingredients throughout the day.
